Safety
Report a message
If something on Sorella made you uncomfortable, report it. You will never be penalized for a report made in good faith, and the person reported never learns who reported them.
Report in the app
- Press and hold the message (or open the profile) you want to report.
- Choose Report.
- Pick the reason and add context if you want to. Send.
You can also block any member from the same menu. Blocking is immediate and silent: they can no longer contact you, and they are not notified.
What happens next
- A human reviews it. Every report is triaged by a trained person, not an algorithm, and acted on within 24 hours.
- We act on it. Depending on severity: content removal, warning, suspension, or a permanent ban, as described in our Community Guidelines.
- Serious cases go further. Threats, sextortion, and anything involving minors are reported to the relevant authorities, as set out in our Child Safety Standards.
Reach us directly
You can always write to safety@sorella-app.com, whether or not you have a Sorella account, for example if you're reporting on behalf of someone else, or can no longer access the conversation.
If someone is in danger right now
Contact your local emergency services first (112 in the EU, 911 in the US). If someone is going through a mental health crisis, the numbers on our Crisis resources page are free and answer around the clock.
